Zone Slicer
The following steps will show you how to set up ReConstruct Zone Slicer Configuration.
STEP 1:
With Navisworks Sectioning tool, create a section box and save it as a Viewpoint. You can save as many Viewpoints as you like. The final exported sections are gonna be named after the Viewpoints.
Note: If you already have your own cuboid zone you can skip to Step 7. Zone Slicer currently only supports cuboid zones, although they can be rotated in any direction.
STEP 2:
Move Saved Viewpoints into a folder (if you haven't already).
STEP 3:
Go to General Configuration tab in the iConstruct panel and click on ReConstruct Configuration tool.
STEP 4:
Go to Zone Slicer tab and select the folder containing the Viewpoints in the View Folder drop-down list.
STEP 5:
Click on Create Volumes, define a path, name of the file and save it.
STEP 6:
Click OK when exported. Cuboid zones are now ready to be appended.
STEP 7:
Append cuboid zones and save them to a new Selection Set.
STEP 8:
Open ReConstruct Configuration, go to Zone Slicer tab and check the Export NWD per cuboid zone option.
STEP 9:
Select the cuboid zones Selection Set from the drop-down.
STEP 10:
Type in the Zone Attribute and Zone Property to use for the output file name e.g. Item and Name if each file of the cuboid zone has a unique name.
STEP 11:
Go to Standard tab, type in the Template Name, click Save and Close.
STEP 12:
We created a new button in ReConstruct tab in the iConstruct panel. Click on it, define a path and click Save.
