# Excel Configuration

The following steps will show you how to set up an Export configuration to export your model data to Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

# STEP 1:

Go to General Configuration tab in the iConstruct menu and click Export Configuration button.

# STEP 2:

Select an item in the background and click Get NW Props icon to pull in the data.

# STEP 3:

Select Object Type to read data from the model (Groups in our example).

# STEP 4:

Choose Template Type from drop-down menu (Microsoft Excel).

# STEP 5:

Select properties from Fields to Add to Export.

# STEP 6:

Click Save icon and define the Template name.
