Audit Configuration by Navisworks Properties

The following steps will show how to do Audits Configuration using Navisworks properties. This example will show you how to create Audits Configuration for a piping system to prepare viewpoints and selection sets by their System Classification (Sanitary, Domestic Cold Water, etc).

STEP 1:

Go to the General Configuration tab in iConstruct menu. Run the Audits Configuration tool.

STEP 2:

Create a New template and give it a name.

STEP 3:

Select an element in the background model (Pipe in our example) and Refresh Properties.

STEP 4:

Select Use Auto-Filter for the selection settings to appear and check Audit Selected Only so the whole model is not processed in the audit.

STEP 5:

Go to Auto-filter section and select the Primary Tab and Property you are running the audit on. Then select to create Search Sets, Selection Sets and/or Viewpoints.

STEP 7:

In case of generating viewpoints, check Zoom Audited under Viewpoint Options to zoom at the audited area on the viewpoints.

Save a template. If you have the items selected you can click Run or close the dilaogue and run the tool later from saved templates under Audit tab.

Quick Overview:

Go to Audits Configuration ➤ Create new Template ➤ Select an item in the background ➤ Refresh properties ➤ Check Use Auto-Filter ➤ Choose Primary Tab and Property ➤ Check Generate Selection Sets and/or Viewpoints ➤ Click Save ➤ Run
