Group Clashes by Zones
The following steps will show you how to group clashes by zones.
STEP 1:
Select your zones (DWG solids in this case).
NOTE: Zones can be Rooms, Masses, Scope Boxes, AutoCAD solids, etc.
STEP 2:
Create Selection set (Zones in this case) from selected zones by clicking on Save Selection icon.
STEP 3:
Go to Standard tools in iConstruct panel and run the Clash Manager tool.
STEP 4:
Select your test from the drop-down menu.
STEP 5:
Click the Options icon in the Clash Manager ribbon.
STEP 6:
Go to Group tab and check Enable Zone Grouping.
STEP 7:
Define Zone Selection Set, Zone Attribute and Zone Property. Click OK.
NOTE: :
- Zone Selection set is the one you’ve created in STEP 2.
- Zone Attribute is a tab where the property is located.
- Zone Property is a specific property in selected tab (Layer in this case).
Naming is case sensitive!
STEP 8:
Click on the Refresh button in the Clash manager ribbon.
STEP 9:
Open the Column Chooser tool in the Clash manager dialogue.
STEP 10:
Drag and drop Zone Group property from Column Chooser to the tree structure in Clash Manager dialogue and re-group the clashes.
STEP 11:
Once your grouping layout is set, click on Save icon in the Clash Manager ribbon, give your Layout a name and Save.
Note: Saved layouts can later be reused with other clash tests and models as well as used in BIMflow. You can switch between different pre-saved layouts from the drop-down menu. To switch between Layouts, at least two are required.
STEP 12:
To push defined grouping back into Clash Detective select desired grouping level (Test Name: Structural vs HVAC in our example) and click on the Create Clash Detective Group icon in the ribbon.
