# iConstruct Properties

The custom iConstruct Properties helps reducing the confusion with creation of simplified display of object properties. Also help protect the integrity of information behind the model from unauthorized editing.

The following steps will show you how to open property panel to display property and value data from an item selected in the drawing as defined by the Default Data Tab attribute in General Configuration.

# STEP 1:

Select an item in the model and go to Standard Tools tab in the iConstruct menu.

# STEP 2:

Click iConstruct Properties tool. The panel can be docked or floated freely.
